post quake visions competition - finalist

italy is a prisoner of its past. then a disaster - a quake, a shake, the break is made: there is opportunity for growth out of loss. we propose a series of temporary pavilions to stitch the town back together by hosting life displaced by the earthquake. what crevalcore and depopulating italian cities do not need is another icon, and more tourists. we propose a cast on crevalcore’s wound, to facilitate crevalcore’s reconstruction and rebirth as crevalcore: never the venice or the rome, but home to over 13,000 stories… simple, spontaneous, and special.
